35 Squadron (Una Anima Agimus). Halifax aircraft W 7701 lost on night operations over enemy territory. Flight Lieutenant R.B. Chadwick (RAF), Sergeants W.J. Hopkins (RAF), and J.R. Storey (RAF) were also killed. Three RAF members of the crew missing believed killed. FS Pilborough had been injured on July 1, 1941 in a Fairey Battle aircraft accident while at 7 Bombing and Gunnery School, Paulson, Manitoba.
