15 Squadron (Aim Sure). Aircraft was shot down by night fighter and crashed 1 km northwest of Sainte-Geneviève (Aisne), Hauts-de-France, France. FS B.J. Bessette, six RAF members of the crew, Sergeants J. Gould, D.J.A. Hyde, L.A. James, J.P. Lacy, Pilot Officer C.B. Perring, and Pilot Officer J.L. Shiells D.F.M. were also killed. There were two pilots on board for this operation.
