70 Squadron (Usquam). Wellington aircraft T 2987 was shot down in flames by enemy anti-aircraft fire during operations over the Benina aerodrome. The aircraft crashed on the north side of the aerodrome, Pilot Officer H.D. Grey was also killed and one Canadian, Flight Lieutenant Evans, was taken Prisoner of War.
