78 Squadron (Nemo Non Paratus). Halifax aircraft LW 300 went down in the North Sea east of Hull, England when returning from operations against Magdeburg, Germany. Four of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Two of the crew, not Canadians, were rescued from the sea.
