195 Squadron (Velocitate Fortis). Target - Solingen, Germany. Lancaster aircraft NG 219 was one of three aircraft that crashed at Wermelshirchen, Germany on November 4, 1944. Out of the three complete aircrews, a total of twenty one airmen were all killed. Flying Officer Mortimer was the only Canadian.
