150 Squadron (Aiei Anomen). The pilot of a Wellington aircraft was approaching to land and, at 300 feet was turning to line up the approach, when the port wing lifted sharply. The aircraft turned over and dived to the ground immediately catching fire. The crash occurred at RAF Station, Elsham, Lincolnshire. Sergeant R. Ziser (RAAF) and two other members of the crew, not Canadians, were also killed.
