It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. 49 Squadron (Cave Canem). Lancaster aircraft ND 648 missing during night operations against Revigny, France. Flying Officer W.D. Appleyard (RAAF), FSs D.W. Blumfield (RAF), G.W. Jameson (RAF), G.J. Perry (RAF), Pilot Officer H.E. Turner (RAF), and Sergeant R.F. Viollet (RAF) were also killed.
