180 Squadron (Sauviter In Modo Fortiter In Re). Mitchell aircraft FL 696 failed to return from a training flight over the sea. Flying Officer H.M. Wygle and FS C.G. Kernaghan were also killed. One of the crew, not Canadian, missing presumed killed.
