103 Squadron (Noli Me Tangere). BROTHER to John Clair Lowther. FS. Lowther was killed when his Lancaster aircraft W 4788 was in a mid-air collision with another aircraft near Hohenaspen, Germany. Six members of the RAF, Sgt.s P. Bailey, C.V. Ellen, D.W. Perch, FS.s J. Mead, J.C. Paton, and N.F. Trigg were also killed. FS. Lowther had previously been wounded in action on January 13, 1943, six members of this crew were uninjured.
