49 Squadron (Cave Canem). The pilot of Lancaster aircraft JB 235 undershot while landing in a dense ground fog and crashed near the Fiskerton aerodrome one mile east of Barlings House, Lincoln, England. Four of the crew, not Canadians, were also killed.
