44 Rhodesia Squadron (Fulmina Regis lusta). Lancaster aircraft LL 938 was shot down sixteen miles south of Monchen-Gladbach, near Oberembt, Germany during night operations against Wesselling, Germany. Two of the crew, not Canadians, were also killed. Four others of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed.
