142 Squadron (Determination). BROTHER to Martin Benedict and Peter John LeBoldus. Target - Turin, Italy. The crew of Wellington aircraft LN 566 took off for the target and was never heard from again. Five RAF members of the crew were also killed. There were two 142 Squadron aircraft lost this same date. The following RAF personnel were all killed; FS.s H.P. HumeII, F.E. Summers, Sgt.s S.A. Barton, D.H. Betts, W.R. Knight, S.F. Smith, and H.A. Clark.
