44 Rhodesia Squadron (Fulmina Regis lusta). Lancaster aircraft W 4819 lost during night operations, presumed over target, presumed ememy action. Six RAF members of the crew, Sgt.s F.R.W. Checketts, P.B. Copp, L. Cox, E.G. Harrold, R. Hordan, and 1.C. Traill were also killed.
