51 Squadron (Swift And Sure). Halifax aircraft MZ 566 was carrying 3,800 lbs. of high explosive and incendiary bombs when it was shot down over the target Dusseldorf, Germany, Five of the crew, not Canadians, were also killed. One member of the crew, not Canadian, missing believed killed. addendum 2: See page 389. Five RAF members of the crew, Sgt.s 0.5. Harvey, J. Kenyon, L. Murphy, S.I. Thomson, and F/L. D.L. Sedgwick were also killed.
