It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. 7 Squadron (Per Diem Per Noctum), Pathfinder Force. Lancaster III aircraft ND 736 went down twenty-eight miles north-west of Magdeburg at Helmstedt, Germany, during night operations against Boulogne, France.
