77 Squadron (Esse Potius Quam Videri). Halifax aircraft JB 956 KN-O was shot down at Holstein, Germany whilst engaged in night operations against Hamburg, Germany. F/S(s) W.E. Hogan (RAF), G.H. Sutton (RAF), T.H. Greaves (RAF), Sgt(s) W.H. Ford (RAF), and A.W.G. Fox (RAF) were also killed. One of the crew, not Canadian, missing believed killed. Addendum: The correct spelling is W.E. Hogan.
