206 Squadron (Nihil Nos Effugit). Liberator aircraft failed to return from a radar exercise off Bell Rock, Scotland. Warrant Officer F.R. Hall, Flying Officer S. Tulloch, and eight of the crew, not Canadians, were also killed. The aircraft was seen to catch fire in the air and crash in the sea four miles from Fife Ness, Scotland, an air-sea search was carried out to no avail. In 1940 -1941 Squadron Leader Harper completed over thirty operations on Anson aircraft with 206 Squadron.
