61 Squadron (Per Puram Tunantes). Pilot Officer Foy was the only casualty when, during the bombing run on the aerodrome at St Cyr, France, his Lancaster aircraft LM 481 had the rear turret knocked off by a bomb from an aircraft above. The Lancaster returned safely to England.
