78 Squadron (Nemo Non Paratus). The crew of Halifax aircraft LV 798 were returning from operations over Berlin, Germany when they ran out of fuel and ditched in the North Sea off Scarborough, England. Six of the crew bailed out before the aircraft went down, four of them, not Canadians, missing believed killed.
