407 Demon Squadron (To Hold On High) Leigh Light Wellington GR XIV aircraft NC 512 C1-J was returning from an anti-submarine patrol over the Bay of Biscay when they crashed in the sea off Sharp Nose Point, North Devon, England. Flying Officer LJM Eisler (RCAF) was killed. F/O. Eisler had been reported missing on April 22, 1944 when his 6 OTU Wellington aircraft went down in the Atlantic Ocean off Stanton Banks.
