It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. 497 Squadron (Achieve Your Aim), Pathfinder Force. Lancaster aircraft 4 JB 218 failed to return from a night trip to Berlin, Germany. Five of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. One of the crew, not Canadian, taken Prisoner of War. addendum 2: See page 194. Aircraft letters (OF-Y). Five RAF members of the crew, FS. R.S. Mortham, Sgt.s R.T. Fathers, J. Graham, R.A. Campbell, and J.R. CoWen were also killed.
