Cpl. N Cocking (RAF)(Can) was one of over five thousand service personnel and civilians lost when the SS Lancastria was dive-bombed and sunk by the German Luftwaffe during the evacuation of France.

Cpl. Cocking has no known grave and is commemorated on the Runnymede War Memorial.
