158 Squadron (Strength in Unity). Target Cologne, Germany: Halifax aircraft LL 615 was hit by incendiaries released from a friendly aircraft whilst over the target. The bombs struck the front part of the fuselage killing Pilot Officer Chinnery who was the only casualty.
