61 Squadron (Per Puram Tunantes). Lancaster aircraft ME 732 missing from a night trip to Munster, Germany. Flying Officer N.F. Aldred (RAF), FSs E. Hill (RAF), P.M. Matthews (RAF), Sergeant F.A. Scales (RAF), Flight Lieutenant D.E.R. Stone (RAF), and two other RAF members of the crew were also killed. There were two pilots on board for this operation.
