139 Jamaica Squadron (Si Placet Necamus) RAF Marham, Mosquito VI aircraft DZ 470 XD-N during attack on engine sheds,broke formation due to flak hit and was then shot down by two FW 190 fighters from 3/JG26, crashing at Destelbergen (Oost Vlaanderen), 5 km E of Gent, Belgium. Flying Officer JH Brown (RCAF) pilot and Flying Officer G Pounder (RAFVR) navigator, were killed.
