It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. 7 Squadron (Per Diem Per Noctum), Pathfinder Force. Aircraft shot down by heavy flak and crashed at Moorlage, Emsbüren, Niedersachsen, Germany. Pilot Officer HP Boness (RCAF) killed, Sergeant AM Dick (RAFVR) missing, believed killed. Sergeant BS Smith (RAF), Sergeant RG Beaton (RAF), Sergeant WF Gorse (RAF), Sergeant AJ Williams (RAF) and Sergeant BS Sheldon (RAF) were taken as Prisoner of War.
