487 New Zealand Squadron (Ki Te Mutunga). Ventura aircraft #AE 680 was on a night flying practise when the aircraft lost height on a right hand turn, struck a tree, and crashed at RAF Station, Feltwell. One other Canadian, Sergeant Carter, was supposed to be on the aircraft but didn't go because he couldn't find his parachute.
