1917-03-28: Knight was wounded in FE2b, 7715; driven down by hostile aircraft and crash-landed in no-mans-land while on patrol La Basse-Arras. His air gunner, 2Lt Alfred George Severs (British) was killed when the FE crash-landed. Knight was made a POW, repatriated 1918-12-14.
