1956-03-26 - K12891 Cpl RL Dornic of Course 5503 was killed in the crash of T-33 21248 on Lake Winnipeg, 20 miles NE of Gimli at 1315 hours. The pilot was on a solo flight. The aircraft did not go through the ice, but burned with only the tail section and part of the nose remaining. The cause of the accident is obscure.
