1918-10-09: Archer was wounded in SE5a E-4089, it hit the bank which wrenched off the under carriage in a forced landing at Petit Fontaine, West of Cambrai, after the radiator and engine were hit by machine gun fire from the ground while on a bombing Operational Patrol
