1917-06-15: Bell was OK in Sopwith Strutter A-971, when his wheel caught in a rut, and crashed on landing from a line patrol. His pilot 2Lt Cyril George Moore (British) was also OK in this incident, but died 2 months later in August, 1917, in another crash. Bell survived the war.
