1917-10-02: promoted to 2nd-Lieut.
1918-06-01: 107TS, Salisbury, Kennedy was in the second seat of DH-9 D-5657, his student pilot Lt Ogilvie James Marchbank (Canadian) was flying when he stalled turning into the wind to land and spun to the ground. Marchbank was injured and Kennedy was badly burned in the crash. Kennedy took no further part in the war. He was a Catholic Priest in later life.
