1916-05-10: Lee was OK 2656, BE2c; he hit a hedge when the engine failed to pick up during landing from a practice recce and engine test. His observer, 2Lt Ernest John Dennis Townesend (Canadian) was also OK.
1917-05-16: Lee was injured in a Curtiss JN-4a in a flying accident. Cadet Kenneth Kennedy, the student-pilot (Canadian) was also injured.
1918-01-01: made 'A' Flt. Cmdr, 92CTS North Toronto, 44 Wing, Camp Mohawk.
