1918-08-15: Beauchamp was injured in a flying accident when his student pilot stalled the aircraft, whilst gliding, and crashed, at Top Farm, near Barnsley, 4m North-East of Cirencester; Pvt Philip Thomas Mulvaney, (20) died in the crash (USAS), Beauchamp was taken to the RAF Central Hospital in Hampstead. On release he returned to 45TDS where he served out the war.
