Wilson was formerly with the 225 BTN CEF before being attached to the RFC on 1917-04-14, and being confirmed as an Observer and Flying Officer. 1917-03-31: completed course at Wireless & Observers School, Brooklands, 1917-05-07: Wilson and his pilot Capt. William Wilfred Leete (British) were wounded in A-3426, RE-8, and forced to land by hostile aircraft during a line patrol near Ficheux. Both pilot and gunner were wounded in the exchange.
