Huston joined the RFC in 1916 (from the CEF and after flight training became an FE2b pilot in 18 Squadron from December, 1916. In total he tallied 6 victories over enemy aircraft, with the last happening on 1917-05-27. He was Gazetted a Military Cross on June 16. In August,1918 he left for Chile to take up his new position as Chief Instructor of the Chilean Air Force. He left RAF in November, 1919.
