On November 17, 1942, Pilot Officer DG Fraser (RCAF), Sergeant HS Machan (RAF), and Sergeant WD Lloyd (RAF) made a forced landing in 1 Overseas Aircraft Delivery Unit Blenheim V aircraft BA 807 (13 Sqn RAF) at Mazarron, Murcia, Spain during a ferry flight from Portreath, England to Gibraltar in support of the TORCH landings in North Africa. The complete crew were interned, unhurt, at Albacete, Spain and were released to Gibraltar on January 15, 1943
