Took off from Abu Sueir to attack shipping in Tunis Harbour, Tunisia.

Aircraft was damaged by flak after dropping their bombs and headed home to Abu Sueir.

The aircraft was eventually forced down and the pilot made a safe forced landing in the dessert. The crew took what drinking water was available from the Welli, and set out to walk to the British lines.

On the 13th night they attempted to capture an Italian Lorry so they could drive home. Croisiau was captured and made a POW. The other continued and were successful in reaching their own lines and rejoined the squadron.

Croisiau escaped the Italian POW camp when the country surrendered and he was back in Canada in June, 1944 and was released from service December 1944.
