1918-11-09: Young died of his injuries the day after a crash in SE5a, E-1323, while training at CFS, Upavon; He stalled and spun into the ground off a slow speed turn. His aircraft crashed in the Andover area. The cause of death is noted as pilot error in the record in that he failed to maintain sufficient flying speed for his intended manoeuvres.
