44 Rhodesia Squadron (Fulmina Regis lusta). Hampden aircraft AD 726 was shot down in the sea off De Haan, Belgium during night bombing operations. Three of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Addendum: Three RAF members of the crew, FS. J.E. Phillips, Sgt.s S.A. Harvey, and R.K. Hayes were also killed.
