1918-02-08: Speechly died in FK8, B-1497; 'S' turned, while flying in formation, and collided with 2Lt Marshall in AW 3348 losing tail and falling out of control to the ground. His observer-gunner, 90699 AM2 Walter Greenhalgh (British) was also killed in the crash. Marshall returned to the aerodrome.
