The crew of Boston aircraft BZ 330 were returning from bombing motor transport near Miglianico when they encountered bad weather and crashed two miles north-west of Apricena, Italy. Flying Officer Phillips was the only casualty. The air gunner stated the weather conditions were very bad, very dark and raining, they thought they were over Barletta when they flew into the ground.
