90 Squadron (Celer). Target - Hanover, Germany. Stirling aircraft MZ 262 caught fire in mid-air and crashed at Brockley Green, Suffolk, England. Five of the crew, not Canadians, were also killed. Warrant Officer Moore had been slightly injured at Rivers, Manitoba on August 18, 1942 when an Anson aircraft made a forced landing fifteen miles north of the Rivers aerodrome.
