1919-02-11: McLeod died of his injuries suffered in Avro 504 H-1932, when he attempted a fast, steep turn too near the ground and bobbled control, diving into the ground at Isle of Sheppey, Kent. His passenger, Capt FG Garrett (British) was injured in the crash.
