57 Squadron (Corpus Non Animum Muto). Wellington aircraft went down over Sweden. One RAF and three RNZAF members of the crew bailed out but Pilot Officer McLaren stayed at the controls too long and 'went down with the aircraft'. McLaren had finished his tour of 30 ops. but volunteered to go again as the regular pilot was sick.
