It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. Both Stacey (pilot) and MacAskill (gunner) were seriously injured in FE2d, A-6383; when it stalled and nosedived while trying to turn back to aerodrome after engine failure on take off for an offensive patrol - caught fire and bombs exploded. Lt Stacey seriously inj/Lt Macaskill seriously inj 1917-06-19: MacAskill died of wounds 1917-06-19; his pilot 2Lt. D.W. Stacey DoW.
