218 Gold Coast Squadron (In Time). Stirling aircraft EH 887 was shot down south of Steinstrasse on the road from Julich to Elsdorf, Germany. Six of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Flight Sergeant Air Gunner Lamond was buried in the British Military Cemetery, Cologne.
