116 Bomber Reconnaissance Squadron. Leading Aircraftman Hicks died of injuries sustained when an aircraft exploded in a hangar at Sydney, Nova Scotia. LACs R. Whiteside, H.W. Collins, and Sergeant W.J. Dunning were also killed.
