91 Squadron (We Seek Alone). Spitfire XII EN223 crashed in France after the pilot, Flying Officer H.F. Heninger RCAF (USA), radioed that he was bailing out. Flying Officer Heninger did not survive. His family were from the USA but Flying Officer Heninger was born in Calgary (K. MacLean www.rafcommands.com). Flying Officer Pilot Heninger is buried in the War Cemetery at Grandcourt, France.
