Operation Oyster

464 Australia Squadron (Aequo Anima). Ventura AE 945 was performing a bombing mission under Operation Oyster, a pin-point daylight raid on the Philips electrical works at Eindhoven in the Netherlands. The aircraft was hit by flak and crashed at 12:39. Casualties included F/t. Sgt. B.M. Harvey (RCAF), W/O B. Marrows and Sgt. J.B.A. MacPherson of the RAF, and Sgt. F. Proctor (RAAF).
